As a global leader in the payments industry, offering secure and innovative financial services across multiple regions, they have a significant presence in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). The company provides cutting-edge solutions to banks and financial institutions, helping them make payment processes more streamlined and deliver next-generation digital finance services. As they expanded their operations in Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with local regulations while maintaining operational excellence became a top priority, prompting them to seek a robust cloud infrastructure solution.
The payments giant faced multiple challenges, primarily centered around the risks posed by running critical financing operations on outdated legacy systems. These systems should adhere to scalability, reliability, and the level of security required by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) regulations. Additionally, they needed a robust disaster recovery (DR) strategy that could guarantee quick recovery in case of failures. Managing both the primary and DR environments under a single Service Level Agreement (SLA) was essential for operational efficiency, along with the need for constant monitoring and testing to prevent potential risks.
Cloud4C implemented a first-of-its-kind, SAMA-compliant hybrid cloud solution powered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The client's primary environment, including databases and core systems, was modernized and hosted on a fully managed, compliant OCI platform. To ensure end-to-end protection, stringent security controls were integrated using both OCI-native and Cloud4C protocols. A separate DR site was built on an alternate cloud pod, ensuring disaster recovery readiness with regular checks and drills. This solution also integrated OCI's database, security, and governance services, providing a seamless, compliant cloud environment tailored to the client's operational needs.
