What is a Cloud Firewall?

Similar to a conventional firewall, a cloud firewall is a security tool that filters out potentially harmful network traffic. Cloud firewalls, as opposed to conventional firewalls, are housed in the cloud.

Traditional firewalls create a barrier around a businesses' internal network, while cloud firewalls create a virtual fence surrounding apps, cloud platforms and infrastructure. On-prem infra can also be safeguarded by cloud firewalls.
